Mouse anti Human beta 2 microglobulin antibody, clone 2213recognizes native human beta 2 microglobulin, a 119 amino acid component of MHC class I molecules present on all nucleated cells, containing a singleIg-like C1 typedomain, Levels of beta 2 microglobulin can be used to assess renal function in kidney transplant recipients (Wooet al.2014). Also known as B2M, it has been suggested that this protein can be used as a prognostic marker for HIV infection (Halotaet al.2002).

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
