Sheep anti Human Haptoglobin antibodydetects haptoglobin, also known as Hp, an acute phase plasma glycoprotein synthesized by the liver in response to infection or inflammation. Haptoglobin binds haemoglobin released by erythrocytes with high affinity, and functions to block the oxidative activity of haemoglobin and prevent renal damage. The haptoglobin-haemoglobin complex is rapidly removed from the circulation by monocytes and macrophages, via the receptor CD163.The haptoglobin genotype is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease (Levyet al. 2002).

存储条件
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
