Mouse anti Feline immunodeficiency virus p24 antibody, clone NM3-6A9recognizes feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) p24gagcapsid protein, derived from the p50GAG polyprotein. The p24 capsid protein forms the conical viral core encapsulating thegenomic RNA-nucleocapsid complexand is involved in viral packaging and subsequentreleasefrom infected cells. FIV is a lentivirus infecting many domestic andwildcat species, resulting in a progressive immunodeficiency disease bearing a number of parallels with HIV-1 infection in man (Spargeret al.1989).Mouse anti Feline immunodeficiency virus p24 antibody, clone NM3-6A9 does not recognise Feline Leukemia Virus, Feline Herpes Virus type 1, Feline Coronavirus or Feline Calicivirus.Mouse anti feline immunodeficiency virus p24, clone NM3-6A9 recognizes a different epitope to clonePAK3-2C1.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
