The protein contains four AT hooks, a SET domain, a PHD-finger motif, and a bromodomain. It is localized to many small speckles in the nucleus, and also to cell-cell tight junctions. Diseases associated with ASH1 include Mental Retardation, Autosomal Dominant 52 and Pulpitis.

ASH1 Antibody (A301-749A) in IHC Detection of human ASH1 by immunohistochemistry. Sample: FFPE section of human colon carcinoma. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ASH1 (Cat. No. A301-749A Lot3) used at a dilution of 1:1,000 (1µg/ml). Detection: DAB. ASH1 Antibody (A301-749A) in WB Detection of human ASH1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ASH1 antibody A301-749A (lot A301-749A-3) used for IP at 3 µg per reaction. ASH1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ASH1 antibody A301-748A. For blotting immunoprecipitated ASH1, A301-749A was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.
