Recombinant human FGF8is anE. coli-derived protein corresponding to amino acids 23-215 ofhuman fibroblast growth factor 8. FGF8 is a secreted peptide that promotes cell growth in an autocrine manner.The peptide sequence contains an initiator methionine at the N-terminus and is homologous to the murine, canine and bovine sequences.PHP130 has an ED50of <0.5ng/ml as determined by dose-dependent thymidine uptake in BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors.
