It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%).Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates forproduction. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.This antibody has specificity for Human SARS Coronavirus Nucleoprotein/NP.靶标信息Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), an emerging disease characterized by atypical pneumonia, has recently been attributed to a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV). The nucleocapsid protein (N) was one of the structural proteins of SARS-CoV (N, S, sE, M), which epitopes were defined by parallel comparison of SARS-CoV infected and non-infected human sera with Epitoscreen TM peptide array. The N protein of SARS-CoV shares little homology with nucleocapsid proteins of other members of the coronavirus. N proteins of other coronavirus have been reported to be involved in forming the viral core and also in the packaging and transcription of the viral RNA.

SARS/SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus Nucleocapsid Antibody (MA5-29982) in WBWestern Blot analysis of SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV2 NP proteins. Protein was loaded on a reducing SDS-PAGE (Lane A: SARS-CoV NP Protein, 30 ng; Lane B: SARS-CoV NP Protein 5 ng; Lane C: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) NP Protein, 30 ng; Lane D: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) NP Protein, 5 ng). Separated proteins were transferred to membranes and probed with SARS/SARS-CoV-2 antibody (Product # MA5-29982) diluted 1:1000. The membrane was then probed with Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L)-HRP secondary antibody diluted 1:10,000 and developed using ECL.
