RNF20 selectively suppresses the expression of some genes such as several protooncogenes and growth-related genes, including many genes that are induced by epidermal growth factor by interfering with chromatin recruitment of transcription elongation factor SII (TFIIS). In contrast, RNF20 also positively regulates the p53 tumor suppressor as well as numerous histone H2A and H2B genes. Together with the deubiquitinase USP44, RNF20 regulates stem cell differentiation by modulating H2B monoubiquitination.

RNF20 Antibody (A300-715A) in IHC Detection of human RNF20 by immunohistochemistry. Sample: FFPE section of human ovarian carcinoma. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti- RNF20 (Cat. No. A300-715A Lot2) used at a dilution of 1:1,000 (1µg/ml). Detection: DAB. RNF20 Antibody (A300-715A) in WBDetection of human RNF20 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RNF20 antibody A300-715A (lot A300-715A-2) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. RNF20 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RNF20 antibody A300-714A. For blotting immunoprecipitated RNF20, A300-715A was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.
