The encoded protein is a nuclear protein that physically interacts with the tumor suppressor protein TP53 and is a component of the p53 signaling pathway. Reduced expression and rearrangement of this gene have been detected in various cancers. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.

ING1 Antibody (PA5-47772) in ICCImmunocytochemical analysis of ING1 was detected in immersion fixed HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line using 10 µg/mL Goat Anti-human ING1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-47772) for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained with a 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red, upper pane and counterstained with DAPI (blue, lower panel). ING1 Antibody (PA5-47772) in IHC (P)Immunohistochemical analysis of ING1 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human lung cancer tissue using 5 µg/mL Goat Anti-human ING1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-47772) overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained with the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB (brown and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). ING1 Antibody (PA5-47772) in WBWestern blot analysis from lysates of A549 human lung carcinoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-human ING1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-47772) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody. A specific band was detected for ING1 at approximately 28 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.
