It recognizes the RBD domain of SARS CoV2 Spike protein.It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.靶标信息It has recently been shown that SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) is caused by a human coronavirus. Human coronaviruses are the major cause of upper respiratory tract illness, such as the common cold, in humans. Coronaviruses are positive-stranded RNA viruses, featuring the largest viral RNA genomes known to date (27-31 kb). The first step in coronavirus infection is binding of the viral spike protein, a 139-kDa protein, to certain receptors on host cells. The spike protein is the main surface antigen of the coronavirus. The glycosilated spike protein (as well as the nucleocapsid protein) can be detected in infected cell culture supernatants with antisera from SARS patients.

SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein (RBD) Chimeric Antibody (703959) in IFFor Immunofluorescence analysis, HEK-293 cells were transfected with a vector encoding full length spike protein from SARS CoV2. Cells were fixed and permeabilized for detection of spike protein using Anti-SARS CoV2 Spike Protein RBD Recombinant Rabbit Chimera Monoclonal Antibody (Product # 703959) at a concentration of 5µg/mL and labeled with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Highly Cross-Adsorbed Secondary Antibody, Alexa Fluor Plus 488 (Product # A32731) at a concentration of 1µg/mL. Panel a) shows representative cells that were stained for detection and localization of spike protein (green). Panel b) is stained for nuclei (blue) using ProLong™ Diamond Antifade Mountant with DAPI (Product # P36962). Panel c) represents cytoskeletal F-actin staining using Rhodamine Phalloidin (Product # R415) at a 1:300 dilution. Panel d) is a composite image of Panels a, b and c demonstrating membrane localization of SARS CoV2 spike protein. Panel e-h) represents untransfected control cells. The images were captured at 60X magnification.
