Protein arginine methylation has been implicated in DNA packaging, transcription regulation, signal transduction, mRNA stability, metabolism of nascent pre-RNA, and transcriptional activation. Tissue specificity: Overexpressed in prostate adenocarcinomas and high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia.

CARM1 Antibody (A300-421A) in IHC Detection of human CARM1 by immunohistochemistry. Sample: FFPE section of human stomach carcinoma. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CARM1 (Cat. No. A300-421A Lot3) used at a dilution of 1:1,000 (1µg/ml). Detection: DAB. CARM1 Antibody (A300-421A) in WB Detection of human CARM1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CARM1 antibody A300-421A (lot A300-421A-3) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. CARM1 was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (A300-421A-2) and rabbit anti-CARM1 antibody A300-420A. For blotting immunoprecipitated CARM1, A300-421A was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.
