Rabbit anti p63 antibodyrecognizes an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of tumour protein p63, otherwise known as tumour protein p73-like (p73L), a widely expressed nuclear protein and homologue of tumour suppressor p53, which acts as a sequence-specific DNA binding transcriptional activator/repressor.p63, vital for the development of the prostate and selectively expressed by normal prostate basal cells, has been shown to be a promising complementary basal cell specific marker to High Molecular Weight-Cytokeratin (HMW-CK), for the differential diagnosis of benign prostatic lesions and prostatic carcinoma.Rabbit anti p63 antibody is reported as suitable for use in immunocytochemistry.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining alquots at -20°C.Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
