Upon platelet aggregation stimulated by physiological agonists, PEAR1 becomes tyrosine- and serine-phosphorylated; the tyrosine phosphorylation can be inhibited by eptifibatide, an aIIbbeta3 antagonist that also inhibits platelet aggregation.
